The focus of the 2009 edition of the book was on basic subjects like anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology and diagnostic techniques for chronic venous disease. In 2010 five very important issues are addressed, namely: the treatment of deep venous thrombosis, the relevance of superficial thrombophlebitis and its relation with deep venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, the issue if venous disease evaluates as an ascending or descending pathology, if venous reflux time or reflux volume-flow is the key to evaluating the severity of venous pathology and last but certainly not least the possible treatment options for lymph edema.
